How we confirm the booking

After receiving your request to book a Tour Package of India we will send you mail to allow us for making reservations for requested services in your name. Once we book all your hotel reservations and other services we will send you a formal Official Tour Package Confirmation details specifying all final hotel names, traveling dates and final tour itinerary. Then after, we will be asking you for an advance transfer of 30% as a token amount of guarantee to book your tour with us and rest of the 70% amount you will be paying us after arriving to India. So this will keep the transparency between you and us.

Our Payment Policy is as under

For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid before your departure from your country or after your arrival to India as mutually decided between team management and guests. Management personnel’s hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Apart from above in some cases like Special Train Journeys, hotels or resorts bookings during the peak season (X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required to be sent in advance (as specified in your tour proposal).

Mode of Payment for FIT (Frequent Individual Travelers):

  • 30% of the amount-confirmation of the order
  • 70% of the amount – after arrival to INDIA / Day 1 of the tour.

Mode of Payment for GIT (Groups Independent Travelers):

  • 50% of the amount – confirmation of the order
  • 50% of the amount – before arrival to INDIA / One month earlier of the tour starting date.

Overseas advance payment can be made through Wire Transfer to our Bank or by Credit Card.


We can also customize all the proposed tour packages as per your travel requirements and extend your tour to nearby more cities.

Physical Requirements:

All proposed tour packages are very simple and less number of physical activities involved. No physical preparation is required to make the most of the journey. If you require Wheel Chair or any other assistance we will definitely provide you with the best of our efforts.

Activities Included:

After receiving a travel quote request from you, we will send you complete India Travel Program details with hotel options and costing. For Activities of the tour which are included are listed in section of “Package Inclusions”. All other activities are optional and at your own expense. If you choose not to participate in the included activities which are booked after getting confirmation from you on the proposed itinerary, the cost will not be refunded.

Money Exchange:

The official currency of India is the Indian Rupee (INR). The most convenient and cheapest way to obtain local currency in is via an Automated Teller Machine (ATM), which are readily available in most towns. Also our driver can take you to the Authorized Money Exchange Center where you can exchange the currency at reliable rates.

Indian Meals:

While travelling with us you’ll experience the vast array of wonderful food available in India. Your Tour guide will suggest you good and specialty restaurants in each city so that you can pamper your taste with delicious Indian dishes.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reasons we must be notified of the same in writing. Cancellation charges will be effective from the date we receive advice in writing, and cancellation charges would be as follows:

  • 30 days prior to arrival: 30% of the tour cost will be charged as retention
  • 15 days prior to arrival: 50% of the Tour cost will be charged as retention
  • 7 Days prior to arrival: 70 % of the Tour cost will be charged as retention
  • Less than 7 Days or No Show: 100% of the Tour cost will be charged as retention

In case of Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings a separate cancellation policy is applicable (which can be advised as and when required).

Refund Policy:

In case you cancel the trip after commencement, refund would be restricted to a limited amount only which too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers/ contractors we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation & missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
In regard to refund of unused/unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2-4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card amount or to bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.

Spending money

Every traveler is different and therefore spending money requirements will vary. Some travelers may drink more than others while other travelers like to purchase more souvenirs than most. Please consider your own spending habits when it comes to allowing for drinks, shopping, participating in optional activities, and tipping. Please also remember the following specific recommendations when planning your trip.

Please also make sure you have access to an additional USD $ 200, to be used when unforeseen incidents or circumstances outside our control (e g. a natural disaster, civil unrest or an outbreak of bird flu) necessitate a change to our planned route.

Our Liabilities Please note that after the finalization of the Tour/ service Cost, if there are any Hike in entrance fees of monuments / museums, Taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by Govt of India, the same would be charged as extra.(if we are providing you the same).
Taj Trip to India acts only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred directly or indirectly due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, and accident, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting directly or indirectly from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage’s & personal properties at all times are at the client’s risk.

Should any issue occur while you are on your trip, it is imperative that you discuss this with your guide or our local representative straight away so that they can do their best to rectify the problem and save any potential negative impact on the rest of your trip.
